our trip home

Here are the last pictures from the trip. These are all on the way back to our city. It was a great trip, lots of fun for all of us.


Sorry if you are grossed out, but I just had to post this. Yes this is a restaurant with a calf head hanging out the front. At least you know there meat is fresh!!!

waterfall

Here we are still in the city we stayed for two nights. One day we went and visited the waterfall. It hadn't rained in a few days so as you can see not much water. We hiked up some so where it fell from the top then it ran into a little pool and then flowed to the bottom. Kirk talked the men into getting out so that we could play in the water some. even though it wasn't much water it was fun and refreshing. The sad thing to me was all the trash everywhere, wasn't surprised its just like the rest of the country, but sad because the place could really be beautiful. Where we were playing in the water you can see all the trash on the ground and most of it was paper from soap packs. when there is enough water people will bathe there and wash their clothes there. One of the pictures is us on the top looking down, you can see all the men sitting on the ground. and in one picture you can see all the men sitting on the rocks as we were playing in the water.

second city

This is the second city we went too. It is the 3rd largest city and it is in the mountains. The picture where you can see the blue tarp is the "camp" where the poorest people in the city live. They are from this country now, but not originally and they are the lowest class. Very sad and they need lots of "thinking" about.

We took mom and dad a carsyn on a short trip. 3 nights and 4 days of traveling. they got to see the Sea and another major city. Lots of driving, but that was great too because we got to see so much of the country. From driving in the mountains to driving in a sand storm on the way to the Sea. It was a great trip and we all survived!!!! lots more pictures to come.
