reading and playing wii
The girls friends have discovered the wii and they love it. So thankful that we got one for the girls before we came.
So this night the girls were playing wii and ayden was finishing up some homework and Kirk is sitting on the couch reading the Book with a friend. The friend is not a brother yet but very interested in what the Book has to say.
We love that some nationals feel comfortable coming over, so many that we meet will not go to a foreigners home or allow their kids to come to our house, so we are thankful that these girls are allowed to come in and that a few adults will also come in and visit.

Christmas morning
Christmas eve we made a birthday cake for Jesus, Ayden even helped me write on it. The girls thought it was so fun to sing happy b-day Christmas morning before we opened any presents. Even the stuffed animals had to sing with us!
Eating our Christmas morning breakfast. Not quite the same as having it at moms but it still tasted good. So thankful that mom and dad were able to bring an ice chest when they came this past summer and we saved some Jimmy Dean sausage so we could make our special breakfast dish! It made Christmas a little more special
Ayden right after they opened the box with Miley

crafts and cookies
girls making gingerbread people. so fun, but i think their favorite part was eating all the icing!
we were so very fortunate that we were able to buy a Christmas tree from a family that was leaving the country, but it was a little weird having someone else's ornaments on the our tree so the girls and us spent a couple of days making and painting ornaments. Lots of fun and it was great to just do some Christmas "stuff" with the girls.
we decorated cookies with some of the girls national friends, so much fun. The girls loved it and then they got to take lots of cookies home so they were very excited.

Christmas
Sorry it has taken me so long to post, December was crazy. Kristy had more visits in that month then she has had and Kirk was busy also with work and visits.
We had a very different but good Christmas and are excited about what our Father will do in this next year!
The girls were surprised Christmas morning with a new puppy, we didn't think we would be able to get one here but found out a couple of days before Christmas that another foreign family here had a dog who had puppies and they were giving them away. We were so excited to be able to finally get a pet for the girls and it was so fun watching them with our new puppy "Miley."
